Platform Governance
Governance at Vynzoa is deliberate, community-informed, and transparent. This page explains how we develop policies, make decisions, and structure accountability.
Last updated: February 2026Governance Structure
- Trust & Safety Team: Operates day-to-day enforcement, moderator training, and case escalation. Reports to platform leadership.
- Policy Team: Develops, drafts, and revises platform policies based on data, community input, and regulatory requirements.
- Legal & Compliance: Ensures all policies meet jurisdictional requirements and manages regulatory relationships.
- Community Advisory: Selected creators and users who provide feedback on proposed policy changes before they take effect.
- Executive Leadership: Final decision authority on platform-level policy changes and strategic direction.
Policy Development Process
1 Issue identified (data analysis, community reports, regulatory change)
â2 Policy team drafts proposed rule with rationale and impact assessment
â3 Community Advisory and legal review provide feedback
â4 Policy is finalized, versioned, and published with 30-day notice
â5 Policy takes effect. Enforcement begins after the notice period
Decision-Making Principles
- Proportionality: Enforcement severity matches violation severity. Context matters.
- Consistency: Same violations receive same consequences regardless of creator size or status.
- Transparency: Creators always know why action was taken and can see the cited policy.
- Reversibility: Mistakes can be corrected through appeals. No action is final without review.
- Community input: Major policy changes incorporate community feedback before enforcement begins.
Community Involvement
We believe creators and users should have a voice in platform governance:
- Policy feedback periods: Major policy changes include a 30-day public comment period.
- Creator surveys: Periodic surveys on enforcement satisfaction and policy clarity.
- Transparency reports: Public data on moderation outcomes (see Transparency Reports).
- Community Advisory Board: Diverse group of creators who review proposed changes and share community perspectives.
Conflict of Interest
- Moderators cannot review cases involving creators they have personal relationships with.
- Employees with financial interests in specific content categories must disclose and recuse.
- Policy changes that affect team members personally require independent review.
External Accountability
- Published transparency reports with real enforcement data.
- Regulatory compliance with GDPR, CCPA, DSA, and other frameworks.
- Plans for third-party audits of moderation accuracy and consistency.
- Open to engaging with academic researchers studying platform governance.
