DMCA Takedown Process

If you believe content on Vynzoa infringes your copyright, you may submit a takedown request:

1 Submit a DMCA notice via our Copyright Report Form or email
→
2 We review the request for completeness within 24 hours
→
3 If valid, infringing content is removed and the uploader is notified
→
4 The uploader may submit a counter-notification if they disagree

What to Include in a DMCA Notice

  • Your full legal name and contact information.
  • A description of the copyrighted work you claim is infringed.
  • The URL(s) of the infringing content on Vynzoa.
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is unauthorized.
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and you are the rights holder (or authorized to act on their behalf).
  • Your physical or electronic signature.

Counter-Notifications

If your content was removed by a DMCA takedown and you believe the removal was a mistake or misidentification, you may file a counter-notification:

  • Your full legal name, address, and contact information.
  • The URL of the removed content.
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the content was removed by mistake.
  • Consent to the jurisdiction of your local federal court (or any judicial district in which Vynzoa may be found for international users).
  • Your physical or electronic signature.

Upon receiving a valid counter-notification, we will forward it to the original complainant. If they do not file a court action within 10–14 business days, the content may be restored.

Repeat Infringer Policy

Vynzoa maintains a strict repeat infringer policy:

  • First DMCA strike: Content removed + warning. Creator retains full access.
  • Second DMCA strike: Content removed + copyright strike. Monetization may be paused.
  • Third DMCA strike: Account is subject to temporary suspension or permanent termination.

DMCA strikes expire after 90 days if no further infringement occurs. Successful counter-notifications remove the associated strike.

Fair Use Considerations

Vynzoa recognizes that certain uses of copyrighted material may qualify as fair use. We consider the following factors when reviewing claims:

  • Purpose: Transformative works (commentary, criticism, parody, education) are more likely fair use.
  • Nature: Using factual content is more defensible than creative content.
  • Amount: Using small portions rather than the entire work favors fair use.
  • Market effect: If the use doesn't substitute for the original work's market, it favors fair use.
Important: Fair use is a legal defense, not a right. Vynzoa cannot make legal determinations on fair use — these are decided by courts. If you're unsure, consult a lawyer.

Content Identification

Vynzoa is building automated content identification systems to help rights holders manage their content at scale:

  • Audio fingerprinting: Detects copyrighted music in uploads.
  • Visual matching: Identifies re-uploaded or clipped video content.
  • Rights holder options: Rights holders can choose to block, monitor, or monetize matching content.
